Riverbreeze Caravan and Cabin Park Review
Location: Smithton, TAS
Location: Smithton, TAS
Riverbreeze Caravan and Cabin Park is located at 69-77 Montagu Road in Smithton, Tasmania. It’s about 130km north-west of Devonport on the northern coast of Tasmania. The park is set on the banks of the Duck River, and is within easy walking distance to the town centre.
The caravan park offers grassed camping sites that are both powered and unpowered, as well as cabins. The amenities are spotless, the surrounds beautiful, and the riverfront campsites the pick-of-the-bunch!

We stopped at Riverbreeze Caravan and Cabin Park for one night on the way to the west coast of Tasmania.
The most beautiful part of this park was the area right on the Duck River which looked amazing! We asked for a river front site but were told there weren’t any available. It was slightly confusing as there were two sites on the river that were still free the following morning.
There were a couple of fabulous parts to this park, and then some just okay spots. The site we ended up on wasn’t fantastic as it was quite tight. The van next to us had to park nearly on top of us, but we were only there one night so it wasn’t a huge problem.
Power and water could be connected directly to the site which was great, and the shower/toilet combo were very clean. The showers had a 4-5 minute timer which was common for Tassie.
There were no fires on site when we visited, but a communal fire pit down by the bar area provided a nice spot for people to gather and enjoy a few drinks.
This park would be a good base for exploring all that north-west Tasmania has to offer. If you do visit, definitely try score a riverside block as these looked the best!
